Today commences the JamSepticEye game jam... and the launch of our entry - The Bar is In Hell! 

You can play the game now if you'd like - please let us know if you ran into any bugs or if you enjoyed it! Any feedback is good feedback. 

We plan to add future characters, mechanics and concepts to the game over time,  which is a completely bizarre thing to say considering we literally had no idea what we were getting into. We had some inklings of an idea based on the time of year and the kinds of games that are popular in Game Jams, but nothing could have prepared us for what we brainstormed and developed. 

It's easy to say, without a single doubt, that this game has quickly become a passion project of my own as well as many people who worked with me on this project. We spent many late nights in Discord theorizing and helping one another work through the project and I feel like we almost bonded together in a way. I'm not really sure how to explain it. It does genuinely feel like time is the only thing that held us back on this, so I can't wait to work on it more without the constraints.

It's considerably early access currently, so expect a low amount of playtime and potentially some bugs and lacking visuals. But trust us, we want this to one day be a fully published, complex game with achievements one day on Steam. And it'll remain free, you can hold me to that! 

Thankyou Sean & John for bringing this opportunity forward. It's crazy to think that 10 years ago little Kofi would have no idea she'd one day be making a game with some of her closest friends for a project like this, and it was healing. It was something I think we all needed after the year we've had, so thankyou.
